PrusaSlicer v2.5.0 flagged as malicious software
I checked both the standalone PrusaSlicer v2.5.0 and the other that also contains drivers in the installer for Windows, and both are being flagged on VirusTotal as having malicious software. I realize there are false positives sometimes but it still concerns me. I went to their Github repo and scanned several of the Linux packages and no issues were found on VirusTotal.
Here are the results of the scans:
Standalone installer: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/f97caae8172e3204538e855ee9a32f04fc41be0d67ff7e54c0c903e6dc1dbc26
Drivers and app: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c299199b39f653315bc5139c221412a9ac85277997bc234d39c939c72f3526f8
Has anyone else checked out these packages?
RE: PrusaSlicer v2.5.0 flagged as malicious software
This most likely a false positive. It is the result of using Machine Learning to access a files safety, if there have only been a few samples of the file uploaded for scanning the software will label it as suspicious for the slightest little thing. The fact that not one other anti-virus program flagged it is a good sign that again it is a false positive.
