Prusaslicer upgrade on MacOS
Last spring I upgraded to 2.2.0. I'm now trying to upgrade to 2.3.0, I really want the paint on support feature. When I tried to install the DMG package it asked me if I want to replace or merge. I figured merge would be better as I didn't want to lose my setting, however when I opened PrusaSlicer after the "upgrade" it was still reporting 2.2.0. I tried again, this time I selected replace and after it finished I once again opened PrusaSlicer and it was still reporting 2.2.0.
What the hell do I need to do to upgrade to 2.3? I don't understand this behavior, I've been using PrusaSlicer for 4 years and this is the only time I've had an upgrade in place fail.

Have you checked your Applications folder for 2 versions of the software since you chose merge?
RE: Prusaslicer upgrade on MacOS
Yes, I only find one version. I've searched my drive and find only one, the one I installed on 3.20.2020

How about saving your config and profiles File/Export/Export config bundle with physical printer, uninstall, download (just to be sure), reinstall and import everything you saved File/Import/Import bundle.

I tried that, I uninstalled but didn't empty the waste basket and it didn't help. When it didn't add the new version I pulled 2.2 out of the waste basket.

Have you checked both Applications folders on your system? There is one under Macintosh HD/Applications and one in your user folder Macintosh HD/Users/User_Name/Applications

@bob-2
Sorry, I don't know much bout Macs. On windows there is an app called Everything, find all dir/file names the meet specified. Uninstall and search for PrusaSlicer and in particular make sure you delete all occurrences of Prusaslicer.ini, several peeps have had install problems if existing .ini file is corrupt.
