🧪 PrusaSlicer Test Report: Filament List & Usability Issues

Issue Summary The selectable filament list under the filament tab is shorter than the list used for filament comparisons, which results in unnecessary steps and configuration overhead. Additionally, the lack of a scrollbar and case-insensitive search functionality makes navigation inefficient.

Steps to Reproduce

Open PrusaSlicer and go to the Filament tab.

Attempt to select a filament from the predefined list.

Compare this list with the filament comparison list (e.g., from the Prusa Materials Guide).

Notice missing entries.

Try searching by name using different letter cases ("PETG" vs "petg")—results aren't found unless casing matches exactly.

Scroll down the filament selection pane—note there's no scrollbar, requiring tedious mouse-wheel scrolling.

Expected Behavior

The selectable filament list should include all filaments available for comparison.

A scrollbar should appear for long lists.

Search functionality should be case-insensitive and responsive to partial matches.

Current Workaround To access missing filaments, users must:

Create a custom filament profile manually

Copy and paste settings from comparison data

Save and reimport it for slicing

This adds unnecessary complexity for users who rely on efficient workflows.
