Prusaslicer g code controls
Hi everyone, I recently have been printing with Matterhackers Quantum PLA and my prints are coming out all weird. Matterhackers looked at my code and said its the way the slicer executes its layer by layer.. I was told to use Cura or Mattercontrol. Attached is a screenshot of the reply.
Is there a way to fix this on Prusaslicer or do I really need another slicer to use 2 tone PLA?
RE: Prusaslicer g code controls
You might want to open an issue on the PS github. Someone did awhile back https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/8372 but they never attached the requested project for the devs to look at so it was closed.
RE: Prusaslicer g code controls
I'm not a GitHub user and this is honestly something they can look at on the forums and either address with a "can't change it" or make a potential fix.
RE: Prusaslicer g code controls
This is a user to user forum. The devs dont really come here. So if you want a 'fix' then you need to open an issue in the proper place.

PrusaSlicer has no setting for this function, in PrusaSlicer the direction is set to counter clockwise, if your printing something that is horseshoe shaped PS will print the outsides counter clockwise and the inside of the horseshoe shape will print in a clockwise direction. This creates a difference in finish, and with the quantum PLA's reverses the colors. The fastest route to take to fix your problem is to look at using Cura or some other slicer. In the long run you will benefit from learning your way around the other slicers out there. I use 3 different slicers regularly and toy around with 2 others on the side, because none of them do it all, and all of them have problems. Even better is to learn g-code it's a very simple code, in all it's flavors.
I've found GitHub to be a waste of my time for the PrusaSlicer project as well, so I understand your point of view.
