The fix in github "M600 N" only works on mk4 not mk3s+, any ideas or anyone fix it

I am using the full 2.7.2 release, without an MMU on my MK3s+, after a manual color change the nozzle still goes back to the last location before the wipe tower.  was this correctly implemented in the alpha/beta?

I spoke too soon. It appears to still be an issue.

RE:

Hi, I am having this same Issue (I believe is the same) but in my Ender 3 v2.

When the head returns to where it should continue to print the second color, I seems like is doing it a little bit higher so the second color layer never touch the lower printed area and I have to stop the print because in printing almost in "the air".

Any idea how to fix this?

PD: I am using latest firmware from oficial site (Creality).

Thanks.

EDIT: I am using Prusa Slicer v2.8.0

Sounds like its a firmware issue.  All the slicer does is issue whatever colour change command the profile is configured for.  So for a Marlin based on its usually a M600.

Once the printer receives that its then up to the printer to do everything related to the colour change , button presses for changed etc and then it carries on with the list of commands from the gcode file.  The printers firmware is supposed to restore the state to what it was before the colour change command.  However some firmware don't do this properly.  Creality being one of the worst ones to not do this.

We have seen issues where for example the gcode may be sliced and using relative extruder addressing so it sets the firmware to relative mode at the start but then when it goes to the built in colour change that might use absolute extrusion mode.  Problem being that it doesn't restore back to relative addressing so the printer is in the wrong mode for the rest of the print.  Thats just one example of issues I've seen previously.

RE:

I´ve managed to fix that height issue by upgrading to this firmware: https://github.com/mriscoc/Ender3V2S1/

Still, the second color layer does not stick to the printed area. For sure is because the lost of heat in that area, while changing the filament.
