PrusaSlicer - Can you change the Add Instance direction and distance?
So far in PrusaSlicer, Add Instance only seems to allow for a diagonal added instance that I then have to move.
Can I change the Add Instance to go say vertical and at a certain distance?

After you have added the number of instances you want, press the "A" key (for "Arrange), or click the 4th icon from the left in the tool bar, and the slicer will automatically arrange and space the instances. At that point you can still reposition them manually if you wish.

Nice! Thanks reddawg. That'll do. I'd like a bit more control over the arrangement, but that'll do. I may have to CTRL select rows or columns and move them should I want everything in a certain direction.

Exactly. If you select a single instance then you can specify (the center point of) its location by entering values in the X axis and Y axis position fields. If you <control> select more than one instance, then you specify the distance the group moves in each direction, not their absolute location on the build plate.

An old post but just in case someone comes across it looking for the most current solution, if you right click the "auto arrange" icon on the toolbar you can set the minimum distance between instances. It also has an edit button for numerical entries. Tweak this number then apply, then right click one of your instances and select "fill plate" to see if you gained any more instances by changing the distance setting. Rinse and repeat for a fuller plate!
