Prusaslicer 2.9.2 potential firmware incompatibility with Legacy Marlin1.x
I have venerable MendleMax printers with which I have used Prusaslicer since early 2020 with great success. The firmware in the printers is legacy Marlin 1.x. I recently starting using Prusaslicer 2.9.2 to generate the gcode files.
However on a current job that has long duration prints (36 to 48 hours) I have had several failed prints. Randomly, sometime during the print, but not every time, the hotend is commanded a Z height position whereby the safety mechanism kicks in to stop the hotend being driven into the printer bed through the print thus making a failed print and a printer that then needs to have Z0 recalibrated.
The only change that I am aware of is the use of Prusaslicer 2.9.2 to generate the gcode files. Has anyone had a similar experience? The gcode is created on a Mac computer, in case that matters.
I can go back to Prusaslicer 2.9.1 but I am now nervous after having so many days with these long duration prints failing.
