PrusaSlicer 2.9.2 Noob has questions

New to prusaslicer.

My last slicer had preset configs for normal - fast - fine print. I do not see anything similiar in Prusa.

My prints look somewhat linear - stringy.

How can I smooth it out?

What are the prefered printing speeds for PETG. Seem what i used to print in 35 mins takes and hour now.

All help appreciated

RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.2 Noob has questions

Really depends on the kind of PETG, I prefer to use Hatchbox PETG, and it does pretty well for 30-40mm/s for perimeters and no faster than 60 mm/s for infill at a nozzle temp of 235-240 and a bed temp of 70-80. Try using the Generic PETG, Prusa PETG, or Prusament PETG profiles and then slowing it down for a test print, as it prints increase the speed in 25% intervals and see how it affects your print!

preset configs for normal - fast - fine print.

These roughly equate to the DRAFT, SPEED, QUALITY, DETAIL presets.
Stringy prints suggest damp filament, look up threads here about drying.

Cheerio,
