prusaslicer 2.5.2- trying to add MK4 to PS 2.52 setup for MINI+... argggg
I have switched from Simplify3d to Prusaslicer and love[d] it with my third Mini+ [I give them to worthy friends]. I just got my MK4 to replace my original 3i and tried to add that but have things so snarled up I cannot print to my Mini anymore. Have tried to erase all printer settings and PS but it always reverts to my screwed up version of PS after downloading a fresh copy of 2.5.2. I have been thru config so many times I am getting ill. Thanks Gene
Should mention that I have PrusaLink on local network so snarled on both printers that... I am 77 but actually studied computers [tube type] back in 1965-67 so I am not a total neanderthal.

Please be clearer on what your problem is, the built in system profiles can not be changed or saved over so you cant 'screw up' the system mini profile unless you have had some form of data corruption on your computer.
Profiles are stored separately to the actual software, you can uninstall and reinstall a hundred times and it wont remove them so its no surprise that you have the same issue. Whatever that issue actually is.
When you start PS if you go to the Help menu item there is a heading there called show configuration folder. You can nuke that folder to clear it out (I suggest just renaming it just in case).

Export a config bundle as a backup. Erase the PS config directory and reinstall.
but it always reverts to my screwed up version of PS after downloading a fresh copy of 2.5.2.
That tells me that your config directory didn't get deleted.

Thank you for your kindness, gentlemen. It was a rough day and I was running low on patience. I have been a moderator on a CO2 laser [Chinese] forum for 7 years and have been able to help a number of newbies past some of the inevitable problems that crop up. It is often a small detail that is overlooked, but makes all the difference. I have renamed that folder and created a new one with a snapshot of PS before I received my MK4 and I am now back in business on the Mini. I will try to add the MK4 when I actually have the time to devote to it, just an [old] kid with a new toy and wanting to see it work I think. I will revisit the PrusaLink in the future so I may be back. Gene
