PrusaSlicer 2.4 crashes when adding a part
Hi, I recently downloaded PrusaSlicer 2.4 and thought I could try using the multimaterial painting feature to solve a problem I've been having for a while. I loaded a model, painted it and then loaded a new intersecting part into the same object that was painted. This causes PrusaSlicer to crash every time.
Basically, I'm trying to color a spiderman figure that I downloaded off PrusaPrinters. After finally coloring the whole net around Spiderman's suit with MeshMixer I found that in fact MeshMixer can't separate such complex objects properly. So now I have a surface that contains the outline of the net and am trying to use other programs to 'extrude inwards' in order to get a full object, which I was hoping PrusaSlicer 2.4 can handle. I am attaching a test object that has only the hand net separated and the original object if anyone would like to give it a try.
RE:
I'm not sure what you're trying to do. I took your object and tried multimaterial painting in PS; nothing special just a few blobs, and it sliced OK.
However, this is the sort of model that would be better printed plain and then post-painted with enamels as you'll get much more subtlety with paint, multicolour printing will just give a cartoonish effect.
Cheerio,

@roy-3
I'm seeing these problems also, as well as Slicer just crashing, I'm guess because it ran to long. it's crashing a lot.
try your best to document it, if you care to, and then post it to GitHub, if it starts freezing up on you and you still wish to continue using it, just run it with the task manager open and save the project very often.
Good Luck

oh and something to watch for, just before slicer starts to crash you may notice that it freezes for a couple seconds and you cant access any part of the UI, but then you get access back, when that happens be sure to save.
