PrusaSlicer 2.2.0-alpha2: Adaptive variable layer height feature better than expected

I finally had a chance to fire up the latest PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 alpha and give the new adaptive layer height feature a try. This has been one of the few remaining features that I missed from Cura and KISSlicer (and that was recently added to ideaMaker). I'm imprssed with the implementation. Selection of the part is easy. What I didn't expect was for it to handle independent heights on multiple parts so well:

This is something that was a problem with Cura (at least many versions ago). If adaptive layers were applied to one part, all parts on the plater would have layers varied at the same position. I had to split multiple-part prints into multiple single parts. KISSlicer has a great implementation that would vary layer heights between individual parts on the plater, and I wasn't expecting PrusaSlicer to catch up so quickly. I am very pleasantly surprised to see PrusaSlicer doing so on the first go:

I've only done a complex test print using dark filament, so haven't done any comprehensive tests yet, but even the sample I did has visibly finer layers for each part. If you're printing parts that only need fine layer detail on certain parts, definitely give this feature a try. Good job Team Prusa!
