Prusa Slicer Training
Hi All,
Does anyone know where I could take Prusa Slicer classes/training........... i am in Florida/US
RE: Prusa Slicer Training
I take it you have been through the Knowledge Base first ? https://help.prusa3d.com/category/prusaslicer_204
RE: Prusa Slicer Training
Search YouTube. There are lots of videos out there.
RE: Prusa Slicer Training
Yes, I have seen this material and videos....... but I am looking for something much more formal (real training).
RE: Prusa Slicer Training
I doubt any exists. Youtube and the Knowledge base is about as formal as it gets. Any course would have trouble keeping up with the changes.

So how is the above average customer supposed to keep up with the changes?

They don’t, perennial problem with any fast changing environment you either make the effort to keep up or you don’t and get left behind.

RE: Prusa Slicer Training
I found that most of it was reading the forum and testing, or is it playing. It all takes time. Of course, changes to the slicer means you sometimes have to go back and learn something new or forget something old.
RE: Prusa Slicer Training
This is one of the reasons a lot of newer people turn to Bambu Labs and Orcaslicer rather than trying out a Prusa.
Not because Orcaslicer may be any less complicated, but just the sheer number of content creators covering it (and the Bambu printers) leaves Prusa products nowhere to be seen - there is certainly almost no video content online covering newer versions of Prusaslicer. I think the most update (and very basic) video I have seen featured version 2.7
A video with some well presented content is far easier to consume than trawling through pages and pages of knowledgebase. Even the explanations on the knowledgebase can be somewhat confusing at times and there is a lack of different and clear examples, especially for someone who might be coming into the hobby with zero prior knowledge.
Personally I think this is an area that Prusa needs to address - I draw direct parallels from networking - I'd much rather administer my switches via Meraki GUI than Cisco command line.
