Prusa Slicer Not Honoring Infill Extruder
I have a Prusa XL with 5 print heads. I'd like to designate cheap filament to be used for infill since it's not visible. I am setting the infill extruder under Multiple Extruders>Infill Extruder, but the slicer is not respecting it at all. Is this a broken feature?
RE: Prusa Slicer Not Honoring Infill Extruder
Infil and Perimeter extruder parameters only work if the extruder for the object is set to "Default" on the Plater view. Assigning any other extruder overrides those parameters essentially ignoring them. You can still paint them but the painted areas will be only of that painted color/filament, not the ones set in the Settings page.

It ignored it regardless of whether it was set to default or a specific extruder.

You may need to zip your 3mf project file and upload it so we can look at it. Sounds like you have some details wrong if it's not working.
