Problems with automatic update
When I downloaded the slicer from the net, it worked fine, installed no problem. When I open it up, it tries to check for updates. It says there is a new one, so I click to install it. It tells me there is a version already installed (well duh, that's how I got this far...) and says update failed. I can't get any farther. Any help?

Which version do you have installed?

2.5.0. It said there was a new one as soon as I loaded
RE: Problems with automatic update
I get the same message from time to time. I think it's a bug so I ignore it. I used to uninstall the previous version and restart before upgrading to next release but haven't found that makes a difference. Using Windows 10. What's important is when you start the latest version of Prusa Slicer, you get no errors and the program info states it's the latest version.
Enjoy your Prusa Printer!

RE: 2025 still happening Mac OS 2.9.1 to 2.9.2 and every other time i update
Yes exactly the same the endless loop of updating from 2.9.1 to 2.9.2 - I download- install...create a shortcut to the new one...then it launches the old version (despite all previous being deleted) then Slicr tells me there is an update - do i want to install? lol good grief! - this has been happening for years- why Prusa has not resolved or even written a fix somewhere for us to reference I do not know... It is ridiculous. Version 2.9.1 downloaded 2.9.2 Mac OS but still not running it!
RE: Problems with automatic update
I use PS on both Windows and Mac. The Windows update is seamless - the new version starts up no problem.
On the Mac, the install process appears to fail to replace the old version, and the old version keeps starting up. I've learned that you need to ignore the PS icon in the dock as it still points to the deleted prior version, and for good measure I delete the PS directory in the Applications folder after starting the old version but before accepting the upgrade. There has to be a better way to do Mac upgrades...
