Possible problem when slicing gyroid infill near fillets
The image is of a part I printed with a fillet on an edge of the bottom surface. Normally this prints fine, but this time I used Gyroid infill.
I noticed in the slicer that it just lined up so that one of the wavy lines of the infill ran right next to the edge of the piece, and when it does this I think it messes up the outer surface.
I suspect that having the wavy infill intersect the perimeter means that it is being pulled unevenly as the filament cools and is bending the perimeter in and out along its length.
Perhaps the slicer could attempt to avoid running gyroid infill right along (intersecting with) perimeters for any significant distance?
I printed 4 of these parts on my core one and all has exactly the same issue (and ever other bit of the part was flawless).
Best regards,
David
RE:
Fillet on the print bed is generally problematic, because it starts at 90 % overhang angle. You can see in the top right corner that he print settles a little, increasing the spacing between layers. This may show as a structural weakness, regardless of infill.
If you can modify the design, consider chamfer. Cranking up the print fan to 100 % might help "cheating" through it.

@david-beaumont
I hate to be redundant, I just linked this same post a another thread a couple min. ago, however I believe this may help you, once again keeping in mind that the prusa devs changed the way "Ensure vertical shell thickness" behaves. You may want to look into that, and the possibility of adding perimeters in the problem area, the two things are not the same, and I would consider the temperatures your printing that specific filament at relative to the bed temp, the default settings are only suggestions, not necessarily the best settings.
Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Apologies, although I am apologizing for the Prusa Forums. I did post the link in my original post here, it didn't take and even though I tried for more then a minute, immediately after I posted it, the forum would in no way shape or form allow me to edit any portion of my post, it wouldn't even show me the post.
So I'm trying again hope they don't poop on things again.
The link should be there, but this is the Prusa forums so no guarantees.
I hope this works, and I hope the info is helpful.
