Newly placed part always lands on the table up side down.

When I insert a new part into Prussa Slicer, it usually positions itself in the most awkward way possible.

New Page Up - Page Down rotating function does not want to rotate along X or Y so I have to manually enter to rotate a part 180 degrees every time.

I generate STL parts in Autodesk Inventor.

Does anybody else experience this annoying problem on regular bases?

Hi VT91,
I have never used Inventor.

if a part ends up the wrong way up, in Prusa Slicer, I generally use 'Place on Face'

Assuming Benchy fell in the wrong orientation, first, select Benchy, then click on the Place on Face icon, or press  F on the keybord
White patches should appear offering different faces that you can place on the bed,
choose the bottom of the hull, and Prusa Slicer should rotate the model for you.

regards Joan

Whenever I make a part in fusion when it's imported into prusaslicer it is always lying on it's back, not much of an issue since it takes two clicks to sort. Never have this issue with things made in blender.

Thank you.
I did not know about the F shortcut.

This is caused by different coordinate directions from different software packages, In most good packages you can reset the system to match at the time of model export, frankly it may not be worth it to do so, as it is so easy to use Slicer to set an object on the bed the way you like.

However you and those reading this in the future may find that as you create more complex assemblies in Slicer and start adding parts to objects or start trying to copy a part from one object to another in Slicer that it is more important to import the models with the correct orientation and scale from the beginning.

If your just downloading from thingiverse or the like, and/or only ever printing single non-complex parts you shouldn't need to bother, but do be aware.

Autodesk products should have the export settings available, I don't use Inventor, or Fusion, but I do use several other of their products.

@sp4rkr4t, I agree Blender plays very well with Slicer.
