Multimaterial struggling to get objects to separate in slicer
Hello,
Trying to make a multicolor keychain. Have the model done and have tried messing with a lot of the settings suggestions that I found here. I had to import the design from a relatively messy svg/dxf. I went down a whole road of trying to fix that original design file and I thought I was finally able to go to the slicer.
Issue I'm having is even though the part imports correctly with all of the objects and I've set the objects to be what extruder I want, the slicer combines a bunch of the objects together so all of the detail is lost, even though the objects should be big enough to be recognized and separated. After messing with prusaslicer settings for a long time, now I'm back to thinking it might be a problem with the model.
What I think may be the issue now: bodies 43 and 127 are filling in the space of the rest of the design, and when features get lost in the slicer they're getting combined in to those bodies. I've tried a few different ways of creating that intersecting body but no luck yet.
Any thoughts or help greatly appreciated. Will try to attach everything here.Anthem25_3mf

It would be easier for us to see a project snapshot of your most recent attempt (or at least the attempt that you got the screenshot). Looks like the 3mf file that you did attach is just a 3mf model, not a PrusaSlicer 3mf project so there aren't any color indications.
That said, the order of the parts in the object list is very important. Parts later in the list will cut parts earlier in the list. I loaded a sample 3 color printer profile that I have for the occasional Manual MMU print and set bodies 127 and 43 to extruders 2 and 3 (respectively), then dragged them to the top of the list. Here is my sliced result from the top and the bottom:
This should get you going in the right direction. Good luck on your project.
BTW, I've found that fully black for the filament color previews hides the extrusions. I tend to use a dark gray instead of black so I can still see if any extrusions will look odd (especially when gauging how perimeters vs top/bottom fill will look). Just a hopefully helpful tip.
