Missing Layers in Slicer

Hello,

I took a .svg of the Door of Durin, converted to .dxf - loaded into SW and did some repairs to get everything working. I was able to extrude it without issue, and then I wanted to add some posts to make installation onto my object easier.

When I go to slice the file in PrusaSlicer, I am receiving issues - missing layers. There are posts of similar size that show up, but randomly these seem to fall out. I have tried right clicking and "fixing by windows repair algorithm" but have not had success. I attempted to take a smaller section of the file and do the same, but it still generates the missing layers.

Any help is much appreciated.

RE: Missing Layers in Slicer

Looking at the scale those look very thin. You should really make them thicker as printing just dots of filament on top of each other is not really going to work even on the ones it is slicing.

There are various things you can do though.  For example you could change to Classic Slicing mode, as Arachne the default, sometimes has problems with thin geometry like that.  You could try an XY compensations that will make all the parts slightly thicker for example if  the parts are too thin.

To be certain though we would need a copy of your prusa slicer project file.  In PS use File>Save Project As.  That will save a 3mf file.  A prusa slicer 3mf will contain the model(s) but also just as important a copy of all the settings you are using along with any modifiers , part placement etc.  Its a snapshot of your slice setup.  With it we can debug things much easier, look at the previews, try different options etc.

The forum here though only excepts certain very limited file formats.  So to attach it you will need to zip it up before attaching it to a reply here.
