'Merge' doesn't work after cutting-with-connectors

If I cut *without* adding connectors, there is a 'Merge' option with a subsequently added shape

  1. Import STL
  2. Cut STL *WITHOUT* adding connectors
  3. Add shape
  4. Select one of the cut objecs and the added shape
  5. Right Clicke -> Merge option exists

If I cut *with* connectors, there is *no* merge option after adding new shape

  1. Import STL
  2. Cut STL *WITH* adding connectors
  3. Add shape
  4. Select one of the cut objects and the new shape
  5. Right Clicke -> NO MERGE OPTION

Similarly, if I add the shape before cutting-with-connectors...

This seems like a bug to me...

RE: 'Merge' doesn't work after cutting-with-connectors

Btw the forum isn’t the place to report issues, it’s mainly a user to user forum.  We can help with common things, how to do stuff etc.  All actual bug reports and feature requests have to be made on the PRUSA slicer GitHub.
Saying that this is quite possibly related to this existing issue https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/11415   Not identical but eerily similar. It’s probably worth either adding to that issue or if you think it’s different enough then opening a new one. Like here they will want an example 3mf and process though.

Good point. Just submitted as a new issue.

https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/11482

The issue you referenced while similar results in a crash rather than lack of options so didn't want to assume they had the same underlying cause.
