looking for advice on reducing time on large multi-part print

I am planning to print a large object which I'll need to cut into around a dozen separate parts to fit on the bed of my printer.

As each part is large, it takes a long time, and I'm looking for ways to reduce print time that are specific to the multi-part nature of the print.  Since it's cut into pieces, there are flat faces on several sides of each print which will be glued together and will not be seen otherwise.  It's easy enough to reduce the top and bottom layers, but is it possible to reduce/eliminate the perimeters only on certain sides?  Adding a modifier that covers the corner and changing the perimeter count does not to do what I want and instead adds even more perimeters.

I've got the basic things down to reduce print time (larger layer height, less infill) but I'm open to other suggestions too.

thanks!

"out of the box"

You could think about printing parts in vase mode. Cut it in a way that you get "tube" parts (no bottom no top no infill).
With 0.8 mm nozzle and line width of 2mm (2.5 x nozzle) you have decent stability.
Design the connectors: make the "tube" parts a few mm longer and about 2 mm more to inside, so they fit inside eachother.

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.

Wild idea - print perimeters and bottom layer only, fill the rest with resin?

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Fill with Pur foam. Very stable + light

There is some internal structure, so I'm not sure I can get away with just vase mode/perimeters.  Maybe if I cut it appropriately they'd be supported by edges.  I also need to glue tops to bottoms in some cases, and I'm not sure there'd be enough surface contact for that if it's only an edge and not a top surface.

But uniformly going to a single thicker perimeter instead of trying to get single perimeter in only one section may work out well.

Making the whole thing a mold and casting it would be great, but is probably not a project I'm up for.

Thanks!
