Influencing the layer sequence with two material print
Hi folks,
maybe my question sounds a bit ridiculous but there is something I want to try. I noticed that if I slice an object that should be printed using two materials like build material and support material that the behavior of the printer is always that it prints a layer with one material, then prints a second layer with same material, then changes to the other material, prints two layers and so on. I understand the reason for this strategy but for a special experiment I would like to print one layer in first material, then change to second material and print only one layer, then to change back etc. This would lead to the effect that there is only a maximum step of one layer height in the print.
My guess was that this might be a setting in PruseSlicer to chose the behavior but I was not able to find it so far. I would not be surprised if this option is not to chose since it saves a nozzle change but in case I want to force it to behave like mentioned above I am looking at least for a workaround. Me feeling is that there could be a way but for now I struggled to find out.
Maybe some of you guys have and idea or tried same before.
Would be nice to let me know.
Thanks for reading
cheers
Stevie

I've never seen any option to do that and I don't think you will be able to force it into doing so. Best place to ask is over on Github, raise an issue there with your question and ask the developers directly. https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+sort%3Aupdated-desc

thanks for this hint, neo!
I tried as recommended.
