How to fix the way prusaslicer 2.9 is tracing my print
Hello. I'm working on a project making some containers. I have titles for the different things that go in them and a snowflake on one side of the container. I have to print with this side facing down in order for other components in the print to work. The titles and snowflake have a 1 mm indent and are printed in a different color. They print super messed up and this is because of the indent, but it could be fixed if it would print the different color in straight lines to make bridges instead of trying to fill in my shapes and words. Is there any way for me to fix this and make it print in straight lines instead of what it's doing in the picture. If not then what should I do? Is there a way to make them be a different color without being indented? Please let me know.

Not much to go on. We don't know what printer you're using or what your settings are. For the color changes, are you using an MMU? An XL? Manual filament swaps?
If you upload your project as a 3mf file, you're likely to get better advice grounded in data. A 3mf file contains your STL but most importantly also ALL your settings.
In PrusaSlicer, go to File/Save project as, to create the 3mf file. Zip-compress it to turn it into a .zip file (right-click Compress on Mac and Win). Attach the zipped file a post on this forum using Attach file below the text edit box. It has to be a zip file, or the forum software will silently reject it.

Sure. Again, not knowing anything about your project, details may differ. But in general, assuming you designed these models yourself, make the text and snowflake objects separate from the main body and assign a different extruder to them.

Which it should by default. Seeing the 3mf may provide hints why it didn't.

M1 Slicer Project okay I think I did it right here is the .3mf file zipped

In your model, you appear to have painted the lettering in debossed text
if you want a smooth surface you need to add the lettering in some other way
in the model below I have an STL for the Main piece (this is the top section of a Box lid, the rest has been deleted for clarity sake)
over time I want to be able to personalise these boxes for different people, so I Didn't cut out matching recesses for the letters and other features, the order in which the individual STL's appear in the right hand slicer window causes a layering effect where the main body, has all of the other features overlaid on it, so that the right colours appear in the right places
In order to make the letters and other details stand out well, I told prusa slicer to use one perimeter on all top surfaces, which makes maximum space available for infill
I attach the .3mf file below, for you to play with

Use a modifier shape to color rather than the painter for these types of "upside down debossed texts" so you get bridging rather than floating perimeters.
use a modifier shape example.zip

To expand on this: when you remove the coloring, you'll see that PS will correctly bridge the debossed text the way you would expect. However, when you color the "roof" of the letters, now it doesn't treat them as bridges anymore but regular perimeters. One of many reason I think paint-on coloring is evil. The way I would do it is in my design software (which happens to be Fusion but I suspect Freecad etc will work similarly), extrude the letters as a cut into the main object, then extrude again as separate bodies. So basically you end up with the main part with cutouts for the letters, and each letter (in the correct place) as a separate body. Save as STL. Load into PS and tell it when asks to treat objects as parts. Now you can select each letter and assign it to the extruder you want to use for the color. The added benefit is that the text will be smooth, not debossed.
