How to choose where supports generate from??
Hello Y'all,
I've been trying to print out this shell for a cat toy for a used 1kg empty spool. The build fits onto my plate but the overhangs need supports and when I add supports it goes off the build plate. I've tried adjusting the setting to only add supports on the build plate but that doesn't seem to fix the issue. I want the supports to come from inside the print since it's hollow but I can't seem to find a setting or a way to choose where supports originate from...
Any information is appreciated!

have you considered adding custom supports to the model?
then you can ensure that they start where you want them to start
or
have you tried rotating the model 45 degrees so that the supports are in the corners of the build plate?
