How to change extruder after two layers (Using multiple extruders)

Hello everyone

I am trying to make a backlit logo as I have done in the past. This current logo has different colours on the face. The aim is to do two layers of colour PETG and then change the tool to clear PETG.

I have imported the model in to slicer as one part made out of multiple parts selected the clear extruder as default and can colour in the parts I want in colour but it always does 5 layers of a colour. Even if I set the height range to 0.2 or 0.4 on the middle pieces. (The outer part works fine with layer height fill as I can mark it)

The other thing I tried to set the pieces to the respective extruder and then do an extruder change at a certain layer height which I have done in the past. The problem here is that when I use different extruders I only get the option of "Color change" on the respective extruder and I would have to get multiple rolls of clear PETG and change them mid print (The spools would take over a week to arrive and it kind of defeats the purpouse of the XL multi tool)

Does anyone have a good idea that I could try?

Thanks!!
