How can I make bridge infill tighter?
I've noticed that when infill layers are complete the next layer ("bridge infill" I believe it's called) isn't a solid layer but has gaps between extruded lines. Almost like the distance between lines isn't the same as a normal solid layer. This doesn't compromise the print itself, but sometimes this bridge infill layer is visible. Is there a setting to make this layer more "solid"?
As a side note, when I look layer-by-layer in Prusa Slicer using the features legend, the bridge infill spacing on the screen appears to be the same as that of a solid layer. Perhaps a bridge infill layer doesn't extrude as much filament?
Thanks.
It's printing in mid air, there is nothing for it to pack against - the only way to get it tighter is to support it, preferably with different, perhaps soluble, material.
Cheerio,

Cheerio,
So if I understand correctly, this layer is spaced the same as a solid layer but the gaps are caused by the filament not getting "squished" against a lower layer?
Correct. You will see similar looseness above simple same-material supports too.
