Has 'overhang perimeters' behavoir changed?

I've noticed with the release 2.9.4 that the interface layer is in concentric lines, as shown in the image, rather than the shortest distance straight lines. This makes the overhang perimeters almost guaranteed to fail, unless fully supported. The overhang pattern is as expected if the overhang is a rectangle or other simple shape, but anything else seems to give this concentric pattern. Is this a bug or something that I have inadvertently changed? Overhang perimeters

Without you attaching a zipped up project file for us to examine anything will be a guess.  Although I suspect you have Extra Perimeters on Overhangs enabled.  Its a Expert level setting(Experimetal) in print settings>layers & perimeters.

You're right! The 'Extra Perimeters on Overhangs' is enabled and disabling it does solve the problem. Thanks!
