Get min/max coordinates of model

Dear community,

I recently switched to prusaslicer and I'm very pleased with the results.

I have a question, where I found no help on the internet.

I'm using a Cr10 with marlin and a bltouch. Before I start certain measurements I would like to do a bed leveling using G29. To decrease the needed time I would like to do the bed leveling only in the area of the print. I can handover the parameters to G29 manually, but is there a way to input a general expression to the start gcode, that is taking the min/max coordinates of the sliced model into account?

Thanks in advance,

Jan

Not something I'd use, but nice to know that's an option with other printers. I've found that saving a minute or two up front is a minimal gain when a print may take hours to complete. The better I can set the job up, the more reliable it'll be.

I don’t think I will ever use it either but it sort of becomes more interesting if you think of doing say a 49 point mesh in a smaller area of the bed to get a much more dense bump map.

Thank you, exactly what I needed!

Indeed, this was also my idea behind it. My printer is not that stable (not a Prusa...) so I need to relevel frequently. When I probe the whole bed I need to probe 30x30 points for a density of 1 point/10mm. For a smaller object (and this is the majority of my prints) of lets say 100x100mm I can receive the same density with only 10x10 points
