Filament Color
I can't for the life of me figure out why when I set up a prusament black filament in the slicer it keeps showing me a black with a pink stripe and then it shows the pink color in the sliced view. I've used grey instead of black so it is easier to see but I can't make it look like it should. What gives? What am I doing wrong? Not even sure what to search for key-phrase wise to find the answer. Thanks in advance.

RE: Filament Color
The colour on the left of that icon is the filament presets saved colour. The one on the right is what you have it configured as. If you click on the icon in the list , just where your red arrow is pointing, it will open up a colour dialog.
That allows you to define a colour for that filament in this project. Unfortunately its a rather clumsy hold over from the original Slic3r and I'm not sure there's any way to remove a defined colour once you click on there and add one. You can edit the colour but I don't think you can revert to no colour. Changing to a different filament doesn't get rid of the extra defined colour.
Happy to be proved wrong as that way I would learn something new 🙂
RE: Filament Color
Wow. It was as simple as what you said, a click and change the color. I feel dumb now, thanks. LOL
Appreciate the response. Have a great weekend.

RE: Filament Color
Left side color is saved per Filament settings; right side color is saved per Printer (Extruder #) settings.
You can left click on the color box in the Plater view if you want to change the right side Printer settings color. But to change the left side Filament setting color you have to actually go into Filament settings and change it from there.
You can edit the colour but I don't think you can revert to no colour.
You can go into the Print settings > Extruder # and hit the reset button next to the color to go back to "undef". This way the Plater and Preview colors are based on the Filament color setting instead of Printer Extruder setting.
You can also just have the Filament and Print extruder colors set to the same color to make the white inbetween-border go away, but have the Plater and Preview colors based on Printer Extruder setting.
Only thing I can imagine for the different places to save color is logistics. Like a logistics 'soft check' to keep track of what's actually loaded in the printer (hence printer settings) vs what you're currently designing for (filament settings). Example: you have 20 different MK4's and you're going to use MK4#7 which has it's own specific Printer setting config which currently has black filament loaded and is also set to black in Printer settings, but you're slicing for an orange model; now you know you need to do a filament swap before just sending it since the colors are different. Maybe, idk

RE: Filament Color
Yeah I see now. Printers>Extruder 1>Preview>Extruder colour set back to Undef. Cheers.
