Elephant foot on top layer

After the 2.4.2 update I started noticing the top layer was printing slightly larger than the layers below it. At first I thought this was the PLA filament shrinking in the middle since I was printing the full X and Y size on my MK3 but I just printed a small object and got the same issue.

RE: Elephant foot on top layer

I am having the same issue although I don't know if this came on with the latest slicer version.  Has anyone managed to fix it?  It seems to me that a thicker final layer might cure the problem by squishing the filament less.  Comments?

This is sometimes a symptom of oversize filament - can you measure it and enter the diameter in the Filament Settings tag?

Also, sometimes, very damp filament but you'll usually see other effects first.

Cheerio,

I have also seen this on my prints. The top layer has a flange around the object, like an elephant foot.
