Edge case where nozzle hits objects on build plate
I've encountered this a few times, so figured I'd bring it up to see if anybody else had or if it should be an issue noted somewhere.
I frequently use the 'Complete individual objects' setting in PrusaSlicer, and also occasionally use the spool-join functionality of the XL or Core One/MMU3 combo. If your original spool runs out, the nozzle will then drop the plate a little bit and home directly where it needs to to return the head to its filament-change position - but it is completely unaware of any previously-completed prints that might be taller than its current height. As a result, it will frequently crash into those prints. Most of the time, they detach from the build plate and no real harm is done, but at least one time it snapped the fan shroud on my 4S.
Anybody else encounter this? It can also happen if simple filament runout happens. Seems like a relatively simple fix would be to drop the build plate/raise the print head to an appropriate clear distance above the *highest* layer in the file?
