displaying parameter list
Hi all,
I'm new to 3D printing.
I intent to buy a Prusa Mini within a few month, but for the time being I use a Greetech printer, lent from a friend.
I've printed some pieces, only for the sake of trying, but now I would like to make systematic tests.
I tried CURA and PRUSA Slicer, and I find PRUSA more easy to use, mainly because IHM is very clear and well organized, and the help, as well as other documents are really helpful.
I have one question: I'm looking to print/save all printing parameters in a text file or XL file to ease comparison during the tests.
I did not find how to do that. I s it possible, and how??
I tried "capture configuration", but this is only for general parameters.
Thanks for help.
Gerard
RE:
Define "all printing parameters". If by all you mean, objects, placement, modifiers, variable layer heights etc then those are all saved in a Project file. File>Save Project. This is a 3mf file and is the best way of saving your work for later use. It is not a list that you can use though as all that data is not easily put into a list format.
If by all parameters you mean the actual settings in the Print/Filament/Printer profiles then whenever you slice a file and output the gcode all the settings used for that slice are saved at the end. Its done that since basically forever. Gcode is just text so you can open it up with any text editor.
Its why you can use File> Import config and choose a gcode file you have previously saved and it will load the settings in for use on your current objects. The same can be done from a saved 3mf project file.
You can also use Export Config and save it as an ini file. Ini is also just text so you can output the settings from the profiles separately if you need to.
