Disable Printables tab in Prusaslicer?
Since version 2.9 a Printables tab has been added to PrusaSlicer. This is essentially a browser, but there are no privacy settings whatsover. I' d like to cut it out. I don' t want to accidentally click on it and connect to Printables in any matter at all.
Is there any way to remove the tab from the main screen?

Simple answer is no. https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/14145 or https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/13927 or https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/13635

Disappointing to see Prusa slide down this rabbit hole of unfreedom... 🙁
For some reason I had never clicked on it - but in looking into this issue I tried - and PrusaSlicer crashed. Puppy Linux + Flatpak.
[Edit: On checking I think it's Flatpak that crashed - no matter.]
In one sense it's a little disappointing as this feature was the whole point of the WebKit/Flatpak adventure - which would have been unnecessary if the Devs hadn't been so keen to get rid of Perl, but on the other hand I can't imagine any scenario where I would attempt to use the facility so I don't really care.
Agreed, it would be nice to be able to configure it off.
Cheerio,

For anyone willing to build from source, it's easy to hide via a one-line change:

Makes me irked and sad I have to do this in the first place. Some of the UI changes I really don't like (not being able to use TAB across X/Y/Z parameters for example). I'm also rather vocal about the need to bring back a save-able Live-Adjust-Z to the MK$/XL (and I assume Core) firmware. Great printers, but I think the project managers over there are not doing the company any favors.
