Changing layer height to a top of sloping surface only
My model which I want to print at 0.3mm layers has a long 5º slope on the top of it. I would like to reduce the stepping and thought I might be able to change visible top 0.3mm to two 0.15 layers. I have tried with a sloping modifier located at the top of the model but don't seem to be able to change the layers.
I could print all at 0.15mm but prefer to speed the print up and print most of the model at 0.3. Is there some way to do this?
I use a 0.6mm nozzle
Let me know if anyone needs a file
thanks

I had an idea - make my model in two horizontal pieces - stack them in Slicer and give the thin top is own layer structure.
Any comments are still welcome.

RE:
It's easy to do by using a height range modifier. Right-click on the part, select Height Range Modifier. Click on the range in the right-hand navigation panel, define the start and end height and change the layer height to 0.15 or whatever you want to use. You can also add more than one HRM.
HRMs are very versatile. You can right-click on them and change other settings, such as infill, extrusion width, etc.

@Fucher I think I may have confused the question by saying "top" layers but what im hoping is to decrease the layer size of the top 0.6mm SURFACE of the slope.

Now you have me confused 🤔 isn't the slope comprised of layers? Can you make a drawing of what you're trying to accomplish and/or upload a zipped 3mf project file?

sorry for confusion
Im not sure the 3mf file would help but here is a facsimile of what I want to do

I think I get it now. I don't see a way to make only the yellow part have a different layer height. With a height range modifier you get this, which will make the "roof" have a lower height but also some of the wall areas:

Yes just the slither at the top at 0.15 - I was trying to avoid printing half of the model at .15mm which basically your blue image shows. Unless there is an easier way I think to make the "yellow" a separate part so that can be set at 0.15mm. Alignment might be tricky but I think I can work around that.
