Bridge infill percentage
Hello,
Is there a way to decrease the bridge infill percentage?
I want the bridging lines to be a bit spaced out and not as tight as the default shown in the photo. I could not find a setting for it.
I am using Mk4 with the latest Prusa slicer 2.9
Thank you

While not quite the same Orca has a setting called Bridge Density. Its for external bridges though and not for Bridge Infill but over a hole it should use the external bridging.
A very odd request; what are you trying to do?
Cheerio,

If I understand what you want correctly then no, theres no setting in Prusa Slicer for doing that.
Super Slicer has a setting to do that (at least in v2.5.59.12 which is the last version I have on my work pc). Its called Bridge Lines Density and is a Expert/Red setting.
Given Orca slicer incorporates so much of the SuSi codebase its a possibility it may be in that slicer. IF they have exposed it to the user interface that is.

Thank you for your reply. It’s a great feature to have. I checked with Orca Slicer, it’s not available yet.

I just found it. That’s exactly what I am looking for. Thank you very much.
I wish this is part of PrusaSlicer. The bridging lines being too close to each other during bridging requires fine tuning to get a clean one otherwise I will run the risk of small blobs forming. 50% bridge density solves it.

If your problem is too much material for bridges then IN Prusa Slicer make sure you don't have Thick Bridges enabled.
If set it will produce a bridge that is nozzle diameter thick. So a 0.2mm layer will suddenly have a 0.4mm thick bridge. It took us many years to get Prusa to change that logic (setting didn't exist previously).
For me I actually want the reverse and set bridging flow to 105-110% With a 'thin' bridge, ie normal layer height I want them slightly touching at the sides. This allows the line being printed to attach to the previously printed one as it goes along and I can get a better bottom surface for a bridge. All of that is completely messed up by having thick bridges enabled.

Actually, initially thick bridges worked better for me. But then i turned it off & dialed in the bridge ratio to 1.3. I am now getting good bridges but occasionally the lines melt each other in certain area of the print so that’s why I want to space them apart so they don’t touch between passes.
