bad print quality after hardware modification
Hello all, I have creality ender 3 pro with following modifications:
- main board - BTT SKR mini E3 V3
- Extruder creality sprite - this one was recently added and ever since I have really bad print quality
- display BTT BIQU E3 V3
- BL touch
- Double Z axis with a two stepper motor
Evertyhing to seems to be working properly, both mechanically and software wise, however I cannot get a proper quality print of such an easy things such as calibration cube, see picture (also attaching prusa project). I have tested many different slicers with a different configurtations, however each time I get same terrible results. Could anyone help? I do not know what else should I check or modify...
RE: bad print quality after hardware modification
An Ender 3 Pro works good directly out of the box, so why change things?
If all changed hardware would work properly you should get much much better prints. You say prints went bad after installing Sprite Extruder... bad install or faulty hardware, revert printer back to the stock extruder...
You can't resolve hardware issues by making changes in the slicer software...
RE: bad print quality after hardware modification
I upgraded the extruded due to overstringing, which I was not able to completly solve, thus having a hope of better days. Boy was I wrong. Do you have any suggestions what could be the source of the issue? Mechanically speaking I do believe everything is installed correctly, however any suggestions are more then welcome:)
RE: bad print quality after hardware modification
... what are you going to replace next when new problems occur? Start with figuring out how a 3D-printer works and which setting are the best for your printer.
The default profile for your Ender 3 Pro should work, but when the settings are off you keep having problems... As I said earlier, you can't fix hardware problems with software, but you also can't fix wrong software setting with other hardware...
When you get a bit (or lot) of stringing, you should check the setting you are using... Did you set the correct printing temperature? It is trail & error. You can find a lot of information about stringing on Internet (how to solve it)...
Now your prints are sh*t, go back to the stock extruder...
RE: bad print quality after hardware modification
better not answering, if you are not proposing any suggestions - as I told, was not able to sovle completly overstrining, which I WANT to completly eliminate. Therefore not happy with stock extruder, hence the upgrade...
RE: bad print quality after hardware modification
... what did you try to solve overstringing? Most problems are settings related, with the wrong setting hardware will not work correctly. You changed hardware and the problem got much bigger.
The settings for brand A of filament can be different from brand B or C... you have to find the right settings...
At some point we all have problems with our printers, so first you have to understand the working before you can determine the problem and fix it... I have watched hours and hours of YouTube videos before I bought my first printer (Ender 3 Pro)...
