Adding a new Filament Type

I was wondering, does the Filament Type under Advanced actually drive any behavior in the slicer other than being part of the G-code filename?

I have some Prusament PETG and FilamentOne PETG and they print at different temps (the Prusament likes to be hotter for some reason). I'm always having to rename the G-code to xxxx_FOPETG_xxxx so that I can remember which profile it's sliced for.

It looks like I can just type a new Filament Type of FOPETG and it would get used for the filename automatically but I was worried that would do something else that I didn't understand.

Thanks in advance.

I've done the same. As far as I can tell, the Filament Type is purely cosmetic.

Great, that's good to know.

It might be nice if they would add a field for a Filament Brand Name or something that could be added to the G-code parameterized output file name.
