WHAT IS THE PRUSAPRINTERS PROJECT ABOUT?
Prusaprinters is our new community-oriented website. These are some of the highlights:
COMMUNITY MAP
The website has a huge potential to build a large 3D printing community. There is a map with users location (voluntary). And you can contact them in case you need help, or you would like to ask for printing parts, or just to showcase your prints. In the future, you should be able to make an event and invite all makers nearby or launch a crowd-print.
MARKET
The main difference of PrusaPrinters (when compared to other 3D model databases) is the focus on gcodes. We want to make 3D printing easier for the beginners and allow them to download the files for printing directly, upload them to the SD card and start printing just like that. The slicing process is usually an obstacle and having a gcode prepared by an experienced user makes things so much easier. What more - users are not forced to share their stl and duplicate their portfolio to another website. They can link the URL source and upload just the gcode 🙂 Users are also able to upload “user g-codes” and attached them to popular models.
PRUSA ACCOUNT
The website is interlinked with the Prusa eshop, Prusa forum, and Prusa blog. It means that Prusaprinters login will be the only account you need for every Prusa service.
