Up-to-date printer ecosystem without WPA3 support?
Running the Core One L on LAN, as WPA3 (mandatory in our offices) seems not to be supported. This works on the XL though...
Even the cam doesn´t support WPA3
We´re approaching 2026 and WPA3 was officialy introduced 2018, 7y ago; I would have expected the entire CoreOne series (One, L, XL when available) provided support, out of the box
Cheers
RE: Up-to-date printer ecosystem without WPA3 support?
This is an old topic, but just to mention that 5GHz WiFi was introduced in the 2000s, and in 2026 many manufacturers continue to produce 2.4GHz-only products.
WPA3 is “recent” in terms of IT infrastructure. For embedded devices, it requires more hardware resources that are not necessarily available to support GCMP-256 encryption. For example, the lack of AES hardware acceleration makes implementation impossible. In addition, WPA3 is still poorly supported in the IoT world, often requiring a parallel WPA2 infrastructure to be maintained alongside it, as with 2.4GHz.
Would you like the printer to also support the old IPv6 from 2012? Don't tell me that IPv6 is mandatory in your offices without IPv4 alongside, I won't believe that. 😉
