Temperature sensor of the heated bed is disconnected

Hello everyone,

I recently got my first 3d printer after years of waiting - I received it today and followed the guide to put it together. Everything looks okay, but when I boot the printer on, after doing its initial bootload I get the following error:

I cannot see under the bed itself, and I am unsure why I would get this out of the box? Looking at the guide I followed in the booklet in the box, there doesn't seem to be any step related to sensors to setup before I turn it on?

Hopefully someone can help or know what this could be!

Thanks in advance!

Just guessing here - could it be something that happened / got loose during shipping? In any case, I would contact Prusa Support - this should not happen on a factory-assembled printer.

Hey Ed! Thanks for replying.

I did contact support, they've asked me to raise the bed to check connections. Problem is I can't do that with the menu as the error prevents me getting to it, so I need to twist the 3 lead screws by hand which I'm going to try shortly but I'm sure will be hard.

I just don't want to damage the printer at all 😥

Hoping it's just a loose connection. Just my luck! Not a great first experience, but hey ho.

it is not hard to twist the three lead screws by hand.  You can do it !  and you are unlikely to damage anything.

I suppose these are the instructions (CORE One) to replace the Heatbed Thermistor if the thermistor is bad.  But more likely it is just a loose wire.

RE:

PRUSA support is excellent.  So I would follow their instructions.

I just got my PRUSA COREOne assembled after about a month.  But, Did they not ask you to check that the heatbed thermistor is plugged in to the xBuddy board?

I think the thermistor is one piece, from the sensor end under the heatbed all the way back to the BuddyBoard plug.  I don't think there is much to look at underneath the heatbed.
