Warping with PLA

Hello,

I experience warping with PLA on my Core One after a dozen layers.

  • Polymaker PolyLite PLA
  • Smooth PEI sheet
  • Defaults "Generic PLA" settings in Prusa Slicer
  • Cleaned the bed with soap and IPA
  • Layer of PVA glue

Is there a way to set the printer to squish a bit more the first layer ?

Any idea ?

Thanks !

You don't need glue.

Try adding a brim and turn off elephant foot compensation. ( Print Settings > Advanced )

RE: Warping with PLA

You can set a negative off-set in the Slicer settings - > printer. Somewhere is a z-offset field that's either empty or set to 0.

Set this to -0.02 to -0.05 to squish the first layer more.

But: don't use PVA Glue! It's similar to the generic glue sticks and LOWERS the adhesion by creating a barrier between the filament and the print sheet.

You need it for printing PETG or TPU on the PEI smooth sheet, since they can rip off the PEI surface, due to sticking too well.
