Transparent (Clear) TPU

I am trying to print a phone case using clear TPU. The print itself turns out great but it is milky colored instead of clear. Do I need to change any of the slicer settings? or is there something else I can do to achieve a clear phone case?

RE: Transparent (Clear) TPU

It's really difficult to get a clear transparent 3D print on a FDM printer. Especially something like TPU. There are various techniques for clear filaments that involve using no infill and printing extremely slow. I would try printing as slowly as possible with a large nozzle and layer lines like 0.6mm and 0.4mm lines

RE: Transparent (Clear) TPU

A few years ago experimented with a number of recipes for clear 3d prints. None of them gave me what you would call truly transparent. There are a few suggestions on Printables, or just google for them, but frankly I wouldn't hold my breath.

RE:

I needed to create a transparent replacement observation window for a device that had an odd shape and was curved. The only decent filament I could get to print clear enough was Overture PETG and I had to print it super slow. Even that was not transparent enough so I also had to varnish it with a clear resin. Which was better but no where near glass or machined acrylic.

The only decent result I've had with transparent prints was from my resin printer using an ultra-clear resin with 0.05mm layers as well as adding a final varnish.

Suffice it to say it's hard.
