SUNLU is it s**t brand?
I was tempted to buy SUNLU filament only because I couldn't get orange PETG from my favourite company - GEMBIRD.
Filament for HF heads, but printing is a complete failure. The temperature tower does not match the parameters specified by the manufacturer at all. The first layer? It's a complete failure. The stringing is so bad that hairs from this filament fly around the chamber. I have already changed the temperature in various ways and increased the retraction to 2 mm. Half of the roll has gone to waste...

I can't speak for their High Speed Matte PETG, but I've been printing a lot of their ABS, and I like it a lot. It's cheap as chips on Amazon UK - £8-£10 - but good quality.

Thanks. I am printing on GEMBIRD is cheaper here in Denmark than Sunlu... Never had a problem with prints on GEMBIRD. Last week, I finished upgrading my mks4 to CORE One, and since yesterday I have been trying to print something on this SUNLU, but without success.
RE: SUNLU is it s**t brand?
I havent used their high speed petg but i used their SUNLU PETG Transparent Purple. I was looking for a cheaper alternative from Prusament. SUNLU its OKish but it attracted moisture rather quickly. A month after opening it its quality "deteriorated". At the same time i opened this i tried eSUN ePETG+HS Solid Blue, eSUN PETG Solid Grey and eSUN PETG Solid Green and found them far better than SUNLU. The last two brands are now my goto when i want something cheaper. Especially since Elegoo PETG pro costs 14E and i get free shipping at 100E from 3djake. if Of course i still prefer Prusament matte black and colors from Pusaments pastel bundle when i care about how the final print looks. But if it involves post printing painting and sanding,or its just a functional part then i go for the two i mentioned before. I confess though that just a spool of filament is not enough for a clear decision.
RE: SUNLU is it s**t brand?
The filament was opened yesterday, so there's no chance of moisture. The printer is also kept in a dry room. After assembling the upgrade, I printed Gembird Matt White PLA, and everything went perfectly, with a high level of detail. The print turned out very well. PrusaSlicer has built-in profiles for Single-layer filaments, but none of them can print with even sufficient quality.
SUNLU is a pure waste of time and money in my opinion.
Now I'm trying to print with 220° and retraction 1mm /60mms

I would never us this phrasing, and please don't take it wrong:
The filament was opened yesterday, so there's no chance of moisture.
"Oh my sweet sweet summer child"..
Just kidding, but freshly opened spools can be completely soaked with humidity.
Funnily, eSun was the worst for me yet, but a lot of different brands hat some "wet" spools over the years.
I love the eSun PLA basic filaments though. They aren't shiny, but also not matte. Very stiff, easy to print, not too brittle and nice colours.
The prints have some semi-shiny surface that just suits the layey-lines-look a lot.
Elegoo PLA matte was perfectly dry for about 8 spools by now, so they seem to have a good quality control regarding this.
Anyway, I dry ALL spools before printing and put them into a DIY cereal box drybox, where they stay dry for a few months before having to change the silica gel.
Regarding Sunlu high speed matte PETG: I'm using the black one and yeah, you need to go quite far down with the temperature, but also try to reduce the extrusion multiplier to 0.97 or even 0.94. It's quite... fluid.
When using a high flow nozzle, you really need to keep the print speed up or turn the temperature way down.

Thank you. I'll try this 🙂
