You should select a Flex profile on the printer screen when loading the filament. The PP profile do some ramming the filament doesn't support.

I opened a ticket about that on github.

Happy new Year,

I could change the setting in Prusa Slicer, so that this PP can be printed without noise and without being blocked during the printing or loading of the PP filament.

The setting of the filament type must be switch from PP --> FLEX, due the flexiblity of this PP material.

I hope, this answer will also solve your problems.

Please, notice, that same setting must be optimzied, but test-parts with these settings looks fine.

Did you read my original post ? - The problem is BEFORE heating the filament, It gets stuck in the nextruder when trying to retract the filament.
Of course I know the parameters and of course I did select the templates for FormFutura Centaur PP in Prusa Slicer.

Ive had issues where the filament gets stuck on the edge and dont want to enter nozzle, it just sits there doing that clack sound, the other issue with brittle filaments is that the filament brakes of when it passes over the extruder gear, which had to be solved by pretension and by rerouting the bowden tube so the filament enter with a different angle. Though none of these might be why your is making that noise.

As a sidenote with this… There is a nextruder mod for printing the main plate that goes around the nextruder gear. Basically, one of the issues is that there is no solid piece on the one side of the printed part… This leads to the ability for filament to go off track and get stuck underneath the main gear.

I had this happen with poly maker mate PLA and it’s screwed up my hot end beyond belief. -> It just shredded all through the gear to the point where I had to blow it out with canned air, and eventually ended up taking it apart, replacing the part after printing it with polycarbonate. (Technically it was supposed to be polycarbonate, carbon fiber, but it doesn’t actually get that hot right there…)

I had no trouble printing PP ( albeit another brand ) on my MK3S+. I don't see why the Core One or Mk4 had to be more problematic, even if it's a different extruder.

Usually the issue with PP is getting a good bed adhesion. You need to use a dedicated adhesive, PP tape or, preferably, a Prusa PP steel plate.

Apart from that, you want to keep the filamenty dry and then it should be a straightforward job.

Has anyone success printing with PP on the Core One ?

After loading the filament, there are problems with retracting the filament. Immediately there is just this annoying clack-clack ... then I have to open and clean the nextruder.

Actually this should be the same also on MK4, because the nextruder is the same unit ?

Had anyone success with PP filament ?
