Printer Shifts during print?

I am very new to 3D printing, and the Core One+, and I am not even sure how to search for my issue, so I am going to ask here.

I have successfully printed many of the "test" files that came with the Prusa, and files from Printables.  Now, however, I get about 25-50 percent through something, it looks good, and suddenly it seems like the print location shifts, and I am getting a big mess printed out in another area of the mat.  Thinking this might be an issue with my file, I went to the Prusa Keychain file, and it did the same thing.

The extruder seems to move on the the XY axis just fine.

Can anyone direct me to the appropriate troubleshooting sections?  I don't even know what to look for!

TIA

Okay, I seem to have found some things to try -- belt tensioning?  I will keep checking here, but I am going to try that now!

Yes, if the belts are too loose, this can cause a layer shift. Also, disable the motors and move the print head by hand across the print surface, check if anything is binding or getting caught. Especially check for the main cable and PTFE that it is not getting caught on or behind something.

It's funny... I keep reading "shifts" as a different word 😮 🤣
