model in PETG and support in PLA does not work
I wanted to print my model in PETG and the suport in PLA. I can print a model in PLA without any issues, all fine. Also in PETG. But when I want to use both materials, the first layer in PLA is ok, but then it seems that it can not continue with PLA. It seems that there is a layer missing, so that the filament looses the contact the the former layer and it prints in the air. I get a lot of short PLA strings. PETG is continuing printing well. I have no clue why it can not print both materials. Does anybody has the same experience?
RE: model in PETG and support in PLA does not work
What settings do you use? For PETG model I do:
- Wiper tower extruder to PETG
- Supports PETG and support interface PLA
I would investigate bed temperature. You can also print PLA a bit hotter or PETG a big colder (depending on what is support material) so the temp difference is not so high. Do test print on different model so you can be sure the problem is not there. Share the project from slicer.
