Filament not sticking

Hello, this is my first 3d printer and am running into what I think is and issue with the PLA not adhering to the print plate. I have a new core one plus and am using the default settings, I was able to print a benchy successfully as well as a small display stand. But I have been trying to print the following model and some of the parts keep getting detached. I cleaned the PEI print sheet with soap and water and thoroughly dried it prior to printing, I also tried bumping the pad heat to 65c as some people recommended and slowing the print down to 75%

RE:

do yourself a favor and get a spray can with dedicated FDM printing adhesive from your favorite 3D printing supplies shop. It is possible to do without but there are so many more interesting problems to struggle with than making prints stick. Cleaning is a science but there are shortcuts 🙂

Thank you, is there a brand you would recommend?

There's just so much wrong here. Let's set the adhesion issue aside.

If you look at the Preview in slicer you see all those blue overhang regions which are not supported. So your printer did you a favor by failing early instead of waiting for the overhangs to sag and kill the print. Turn supports on, preferably organic.

Next, don't use Fast. I would only use Fast for prototyping, and even then I never actually use it. I for one see little difference between 0.2 mm and lower layer heights, so I would go with 0.2 Structural.

If I wanted to print this model for no reason, I would probably use Prusaslicer's Cut tool to cut them all along the Y axis and lay them flat on their now created flat surface. Then glue them together at the end. I assume this model will be painted anyway, so you won't see the cut-and-join areas, and you won't need any supports.

Why are they not sticking? Washing with hot water and soap is great. But the contact surfaces are very small, I would probably try a brim. But then again, this is not the orientation I would print the model in. As said before, I'd cut them in half.

See attached 3mf to illustrate what I mean. I don't have time to perfect it. Still many supports probably not needed. But I hope the gist of what I mean gets across.

See attached 3mf to illustrate what I mean.

You probably fell into the "no .3mf attachments allowed" trap. Could you please post the file again, but zip it before attaching? Thanks!

Huh, it showed as attached (zip) when I clicked on Add Reply. Okay, let's try again.

Okay. I give up. Can't attach a file for the life of me. Tried Chrome and Safari. Definitely a "*.3mf.zip" file but won't attach
