Yet another clicking noise issue

I cleaned and relubed the gears. I did the gears calibration. Happens with multiple filaments. Prints seem unaffected.

This doesn't sound like the Nextruder planetary gears. It sound's like the bearing moving around in the linear rail. Is this printer pre-assembled or a kit? I would try lubricating the linear rail. But only use this: Lubrication set and do not lubricate the rail itself, the grease has to be injecting into the lubrication port.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

The noises don't align with the X axis movements, they do align with the movements on the gears that you can see trough the plastic cap. You can also see the gears jumping when it makes the noisier clicks (which seem to be the extruder skipping steps).

Have you ran the extruder gearbox calibration step after changing the cover? I would revert to the original cover and run the calibration wizzard.

I didn't watch it carefully but you are right. First of all remove the PTFE washer. It is no longer needed and may cause issues. It was removed after the MK4. Also you need to recalibrate the gear box as @abmantis pointed out. I suspect now that the screws are too tight on the cover and it's binding.
