X-axis homing fails over and over again
Hi,
My Core One has been working just fine until today... when I accidentally opened the door while the printer was calibrating the x-axis and it wasn't able to continue when I closed it again. It just kept on trying to recalibrate the axis. At some point it even detected a collision. So I hit the reset button and tried to launch the print again and got the same problem. I don't understand why it can't calibrate again, I kinda get why opening the door messed all up in the first place, but a reboot should do the trick no?
All advice would be most welcome!
RE: X-axis homing fails over and over again
Disconect the door switch, why have one in the first place? Another gizmo, less bells and whistles.
RE: X-axis homing fails over and over again
Rather then disconnecting the door sensor: disable it in the menu and then do a "Auto Home" from the menu instead of starting a print, so the heaters are all disabled and won't interfere with the loadcell.
Does that work fine?
RE: X-axis homing fails over and over again
Thanks for your feedback! I think I managed to resolve the issue.
I tried homing from the menu and it crashed with a "precise homing refinement failed" error. So I checked the belt tension and it was too loose... which is strange since I've only been using the printer for a week. What could be the reason for the belt to be too loose so quickly?
I also did a firmware upgrade to 6.3.3

Did you build the kit just a week ago or got your pre-assembled Core One a week ago?
If you built the kit, it might have become a bit slack due to settling of everything.
If you got a pre-assembled printer, it might either be the settling too or they weren't tuned correctly from the get go, or "adjusted" during shipping.

Yes, I build the kit 10 days ago or so. Makes sense that it would need time to settle indeed.
