Switch from stock nozzle to Obxidian 0.6 - Recalibrate?
Hi. Just completed the instructions for swapping out the stock nozzle for a different one. In my case, it's the Obxidian 0.6mm nozzle. Changed settings for the new nozzle diameter, turned on "Hardened Nozzle", and follow the rest of the instructions to re-assemble and test nozzle temp. I didn't see any instructions for recalibrating the machine. Is this not needed? Would it still be a good idea to do it anyway? Any things to keep in mind in PrusaSlicer to optimize for printing with this nozzle?
RE: Switch from stock nozzle to Obxidian 0.6 - Recalibrate?
There's nothing to recalibrate, really. The Obxidian is a plug-and-play replacement.
Some people suggest to run it a bit higher. I have Obxidian nozzles on all my printers and while this was necessary for traditional hardened steel nozzles, I never had the need to do that with Obxidian, so your mileage may vary.
