Remote power control
Anyone using a smart plug (or similar) to remote control the power for their Core One (or other printer)? the location of the power switch is a little annoying to reach where I have the printer (it otherwise fits wonderfully in the space I have it).
I have the unit plugged into a Kasa smart outlet so I can monitor power usage, but wondering if there's any reason I can't use that for controlling the power. I would obviously wait until everything has cooled down prior to shutting it off.
Thanks!
RE: Remote power control
I use an Amazon smart plug for exactly this reason on my Mk4S. "Alexa 3D printer on/off". Done.
RE: Remote power control
On the core one, I use a shelly plug and on the mk4s I have a hue plug.
Works fine
RE: Remote power control
I also use a smart plug from TP-Link which I use with Alexa for the Prusa Core One power control (on/off).The smart plug has been in the cupboard for over a year and only now do I know why I bought it. 🤣
